The New Wycliffe has an Activities Coordinator which helps us offer a wide range of activities including arts and crafts, exercise classes, outings, and social events. The New Wycliffe residents also has access to a minibus which allows residents to visit a variety of planned outdoor activities and have a great time with the team. We believe this is instrumental in providing a home from home experience to all loved ones.

Our care plans are personalised and created in consultation with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. They take into account a variety of aspects from day-to-day activities such as dietary requirement and equipment usage, to longer term impacts from cultural backgrounds, likes and dislikes, preferences and so much more.

Our staffing levels are carefully maintained to provide personalised care, with ratios varying based on resident needs. Resident needs and impact on staffing levels are all taken into account during care assessments. There is a robust mechanism which helps us understand staffing requirements which are maintained at all times, in line with our HR, Recruitment and Staffing policies - allowing us to ensure there is always enough staff available to cater for the needs of loved ones.

Our chefs prepare nutritious and vegetarian meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and preferences, including special diets. The New Wycliffe goes above and beyond to provide all residents the choice to eat from a second vegetarian menu, as we aim to provide for those with an Asian-Lifestyle background. We like to get to know loved ones, their likes and dislikes, which feeds into part of their care plan. This helps our Chefs cook meals that our residents truly enjoy and look forward to. Snack trolleys are also available throughout the day.

We have on-site medically trained colleagues and work closely with local healthcare providers to manage and monitor residents' health. Colleagues that administer medication are qualified and go through the correct level of training, which is monitored and maintained using audit systems and processes.

Note: Since the CQC Inspection in June 2025, The New Wycliffe – Care Home Leicester has not only acted on all of the feedback received, however has gone above and beyond in improving even further, ensuring that all residents and the community remain supported with exceptional care. As per our internal measures, we are on track for a ‘GOOD‘ rating at our next inspection.
