What is Nursing Care?

Nursing Care is commonly confused with Residential Care and for good reason. Both offer a safe home-from-home environment for older people where they can receive day to day care and support, however Nursing Care is required under special circumstances whereby the care needs are relatively higher. Midlands Care continue to pave the way by ensuring that all residents receive a tailored approach, ensuring the delivery of care is person-centred. Our specialist teams take into accounts a variety of factors when assessing and reviewing care requirements, from likes and dislikes, dietary requirements to medication management, mobility assessments and so much more. These numerous factors formulate an incredibly comprehensive and detailed care plan, which our specialist teams review and update on a regular basis.

Difference between Nursing Care and Residential Care

Care Needs

Traditionally, there has been a larger difference between the care requirements for Nursing Care and Residential Care. However, Midlands Care has invested heavily to bridge this gap, by ensuring that every individual within their care homes are provided the highest level of care, no matter the required level of care. Residential Care is often represented by the search for constant and additional support with day-to-day tasks, with personal care or chores such as cooking, cleaning and medication management being a struggle for them. Nursing Care is where individuals with a range of complex medical needs, and they not only need support with more complex health wellbeing, but continual medical intervention. Midlands Care specialises in providing dementia care, residential care, palliative care, day care, respite care, sensory impairments and caring for those with physical disabilities.
