What is Care Home Open Week?
Care Home Open Week is a nationwide initiative where care home across the country open their doors to the public. It offers an opportunity for people to visit, learn about the services provided, meet the staff and residents, and see the facilities. This week is all about transparency, education, and fostering a sense of community. Like everything we do at Midlands Care, we have decided to go the extra mile, and will not only be opening our doors but are delighted to offer a week full of themed activities and celebration events for all to enjoy.
What Can I Expect During Care Home Open Week?
- Tours of the Facilities: Guided tours to explore the living spaces, communal areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Meet and Greets: Opportunities to meet the staff and residents, ask questions, and hear first hand their experiences in the home.
- Activities: See what the social side of care is really like and get stuck into an activity fully planned by our activity coordinators. Don’t worry, intense involvement won’t be required! You can just relax, observe and enjoy the day.
- Informative Sessions: Attend talks and presentations on topics such as dealing with Dementia and questions around funeral wishes.
- Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages while you tour the facilities. Even enjoy a small gift or two!
