The Tree Planting Initiative
As part of our commitment to the environment and our community, Midlands Care has gone above and beyond to form a strategic partnership with The National Forest by planting a tree in memory of every resident who is unfortunately no longer with us. As a lasting reminder and tribute to their life, the tree is chosen by their nearest and dearest as a best reflection of loved ones. Symbolising all of those who have touched our lives in a tangible figure of remembrance we look to restore harmony with the natural world. All families are provided with a certification of trees planted in memory of their loved ones. Till date, we have successfully planted 140+ trees!

Our Very Own Minibuses
Midlands Care has ensured that all residents are given a sense of purpose, with access to minibuses and dedicated drivers that help loved ones visit local attractions, and amenities. From local pubs, restaurants and gardens to animal zoo’s, lakes, places of worship and more; our residents are actively encouraged to live a fulfilled life both indoors and outdoors. Our minibuses are all wheelchair accessible, with lifts and ramps in place to ensure easy and safe access on journeys. All outings are planned in advance with careful consideration of resident safety, risk assessments and all necessary compliance to ensure that loved ones enjoy visits with peace of mind.
Energy Performance
In line with the UK’s pledge towards Net Zero by 2050, Midlands Care has taken on the initiative to ensure that majority of our care homes are performing at an energy efficient standard. From all of Our Homes, over 75% have an EPC rating of either ‘C’ or above. We are always seeking methods and investment to make our services increasingly efficient to reduce carbon emissions, including Solar Panels, energy efficient LED lighting, new landscaped gardens, exploring alternatives such as ‘heat pump’, reducing waste and more. We’re passionate about doing all that we can to support the UK’s ambitious yet rightful target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Governance & Accountability
When providing care to loved ones, there is more that what meets the eye. From administering medication, correct form of moving & handling, colleague learning & development to laundry & housekeeping, activities and so much more, there is a lot behind the scenes which forms parts of a complete puzzle and the ‘premium inclusive care‘ that Midlands Care offers. This is why we have, and continue to invest heavily in robust systems, processes and policies that align with our purpose and values of delivering around-the-clock exceptional care. Above all, our colleagues are the pillars of our services, as we align roles & responsibilities to encourage good form of governance and true championing of social care journeys.
Philanthrophic Strategy
We are proud to actively encourage and support fundraising activities and donation work carried out by our residents and colleagues. Midlands Care has pledged to double all fundraising, pound for pound up to £1,000, when the charitable cause is on our panel of registered charities. This includes continuing to support charitable foundations such as LOROS, Healing Little Hearts, British Heart Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK, Heart Research UK, Matt Hampson Foundation & more! If you are a registered charity and interested in joining the panel, speak to our friendly Head Office to learn more.
