At Midlands Care, our commitment goes beyond providing exceptional care to our residents. We recognise the importance of sustainability and are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and our local communities. As part of our pledge to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy, we are dedicated to introducing sustainability initiatives that prioritise the environment and give back to communities. We actively engage in local initiatives and also support charitable causes, pathing waves of positive impact beyond the walls of our care homes.

Understanding ESG – What is ESG?

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. It refers to the three central factors in measuring the sustainability and societal impact of an organisation.

  • Environmental: Covers how a company performs as a steward of nature.
  • Social: Examines how it manages relationships with employees, suppliers, customers, and the communities where it operates.
  • Governance: Deals with a company’s leadership, executive pay, audits, internal controls, and shareholder rights.

At Midlands Care, we pledge to integrate these principles into our operations to ensure we are not only providing high-quality care but also contributing to a better world.

Our ESG Framework:

ESG Policies: Our foundation begins with establishing the right policies and frameworks. We ensure that our corporate responsibility is clearly outlined and adhered to, reinforcing our commitment to ESG principles.

As part of our commitment, we have a robust action plan in place, ensuring that all parts of ESG are addressed. This includes our Tree Planting Initiative, where we plant a tree with the National Forest for every resident loss across Midlands Care, honouring our residents while contributing to reforestation. Additionally, our action plan includes but isn’t limited to our Paperless Agenda, Increasing Energy Efficiency, and above all, driving Customer Obsession. In total, we have over fifteen ongoing initiatives aimed at not only meeting but exceeding the expectations set for our ESG strategy.
