Review of Portland House
We found Portland House on a Sunday lunch time surprise visit, and were welcomed with a pot of coffee and a really warm welcome from the owner. My mother-in-law has spent two and a half years there and we couldn't be happier with how she has been cared for. It's just like home for her and everyone is really loving to her. They also cared for my father-in-law during his last few weeks and were again faultless in their care and commitment. You couldn't find a better place to be in old age.

Review of Portland House
Always has a good welcoming atmosphere, never smells unpleasant. Visitors made welcome including refreshments, can always talk about concerns immediately. The staff get on very well and there is always cheerful banter going on. Mum's meal requests are always met and they make an effort to get her favourite things in. Ample activities and outings. Very good service for seeing a doctor when she is ill. The bedrooms are always clean and, tidy. Mum would say they are always there when needed and they are all very kind to her.

Review of Portland House
My mother lives at Portland House and has been a resident there for almost 2 years. I was recommended this home by a friend of mine and as we live nearby it was convenient. I rang and spoke to someone who said I was more than welcome to come round and have a look when I liked. No appointment was needed which was great and suited by busy schedule better! My first impression of the home was that it was welcoming. The staff's approach appears honest and caring towards everyone in the home. I could see everyone in the home was dressed well and smiling which meant they were all well looked after. Two years on, I am happy with one of the toughest decisions I had to make and I can say no one can ever go wrong by choosing Portland House. The staff continue to impress me and my family on how well they have managed to look after my mother.

Review of Portland House
I feel dad is extremely well looked after and he is always treated with respect. He is very happy at Portland House and is made to feel to be a part of a loving family. I can visit as often as I like at any time and am always personally welcomed. There is good communication, both written and by phone whenever necessary. The only slight grumble is that there is insufficient care in the handling and distribution of laundry. However, overall, I am very pleased with Portland House.

Review of Portland House
My mum is a resident and has been here for nearly 3 years, she is very happy here and is well cared for. The food is good and I always get a warm and friendly welcome and always get offered tea, coffee etc. I can come any time of day. I would recommend this home to anyone, as it is like home from home and all staff are very caring and sympathetic to residents always.

Review of The Leys
All too often we hear negative reports about care for the elderly. I would like to say something positive about the care home that my mother in law lived in. Sadly, she passed away in April 2014, but she lived at The Leys, Booth Rise, Northampton, for the last six and a half years of her life. They showed her nothing but compassion, affection and respect. The staff were dedicated, friendly and always treated everyone with respect. People who choose to be carers are really special people. I sincerely thank all the staff at The Leys for the excellent care they gave to my mother in law.

Review of St Martins Residential Home
I visit my aunt at St Martins every other day. Every time I go I am welcomed by staff with a smile on their face. As I enter I am always offered a cold or hot drink and I am taken to my aunt either in the lounge or her room. She has the choice of sitting in the lounge or room. If it was down to my aunt she would not come out of her room which she has been able to personalise to her liking but the staff encourage her to come out and join in and sit with other residents where they eat, drink and laugh together. I am extremely happy with the staff and St Martins care home and would highly recommend this home to anyone.

I would like to thank each and every one of you for taking such good care of my mother over the past eight years. Your kindness, patience and understanding have given her quality of life during her final years. This has been a great comfort to the family. Regretfully her condition has deteriorated and a nursing home placement is more appropriate. My mother always wanted to live in a large house on the Lutterworth / Leicester road and in a strange way it came true. I will keep in touch. We have some lovely treasured memories of Mum at West View

Just a note to thank you all for your kindness over the last few weeks. During the 7 weeks mum was at The Leys spoke about you all. She remembered your names and appreciated the time your spent talking to her. Your care and concern for Dad and our family over the last 3 weeks has been amazing and is something we will always remember. Mum will be forever in our hearts but it is Dad that needs us now.

We would like to thank you all for the care and kindness you showed to our mum, Lillian, whilst she was at West View. We always felt welcome when visiting and nothing was too much trouble for your lovely girls. Mum had a difficult time, but when she was in her ‘good’ times, she appreciated all that was done for her, and enjoyed a joke with the girls.

We shall miss our daily visits to West View but are relieved that mum is at peace now and re-united with her beloved husband, Bill. Thank you once more

We appreciated all the help and kindness given to 'Winnie' during her shot stay with you. From the very beginning, when first meeting Sam and Sagar, we were put at ease. The family have visited on many occasions and found the staff most helpful and friendly.

We trust and hope that the love may continue its good work in the future.

Yours Sincerely,
– Joan, Peter & Family

I'm so sad that my nan Winnie has passed away but I knew that she was cared for well at West View Residential Home. The staff that I got to know in the short months my nan was there always made Richard and myself very welcome, and Abbie bless her always offered me a drink. I want to thank Nicola, Abbie, Karen, Wendy, Joni and Jane for your kindness to us and my nan, and also Claire, my nan had asid last week to me how lovely Claire has been to her.

I know that all the other staff that I did not meet were also good to her and the rest of my family. You are all one in a million.

Thank you for everything and lots of Love

Thank you, doesn't really match the Care and constant attention you gave to Ruth, over the years she was with you. Ruth really did have a lot of "Good Qualities", but of know that wasn't always apparent!! In the last few the Sister I loved seemed so much nicer and happier for which I am so grateful for.

Review of St Martins
Thank you for the care you gave my mother, joan, during the many years she was a resident at St. Martins. Although she didn't have the best quality of life in the later years.the home was the perfect place for her and I know she enjoyed her time there. The dedication of most of the carers is excellent and I appreciate everything they did for my mum. I would also like to thank you for the care provided in the last few weeks of her life and for all of the efforts made to bring her home to St Martins from hospital. Although it never transpired, it was very much appreciated. All the best

Just a few lines to say a big thank you to you all for looking after Tony for the last six weeks. It enabled me to go into hospital for the heart surgery I needed, knowing he was being well looked after & that meant a lot. Thank you once again.

Review of The Leys
I write to express my thanks to you all for the care and attention given to my sister Margie (Jessie) during her stay with you. While living alone, she always said that she dreaded living in any sort of care hoome, but soon found that life at The Leys was very pleasant, and she became completely happy. Due to the distance, visiting was difficult, and later impossible, but she was very cheerful on the phone. It was very comforting for me to know that any problem would be quickly dealt with and she too felt secure. I am very grateful to you for giving such kind and friendly care. Best wishes for the future.
